The teams must report at the time allocated to them.
Participants must place their mechanism before the given line and begin shooting when the signal is given.
In case of a false start more than couple of times the participant will be disqualified.
Precautions regarding the operating of the mechanism is the responsibility of the participant. It shouldn’t be hazardous.
If the machine develops a serious malfunction, a reasonable amount of time for repairs may be allotted. The time allotted will be decided on the spot by the event organizers.
If the machine damages the arena then that team will be disqualified from the competition.
The mechanism which may break down or disintegrate in their on-going trial will be disqualified pertaining to that trial.
The team must adhere to good behaviour and spirit of competition. Any team not following that will be eliminated.
Judges’ decision is final and abiding to all.
In case of any dispute or discrepancies, all rights would be reserved with the Core committee of Footprints X6.
Teams which are not satisfying any of the rule will be given a penalty.

The mechanism should be designed within a dimension of 70 cm x 70 cm (Top view).

The height of the mechanism should not be more than 50cm in closed state.

No restriction on the type of spring or string to be used. Mechanism can be torsional, elastic or any other feasible mechanism.

The mechanism should have an ability to change height as well as it should be able to hit targets at far and close distance.

The participants can add a counter weight in the mechanism to provide stability to it.

Only 2 participants are allowed in the arena where the mechanism is to be placed.

The minimum range of the ballista should be 8m.

No constraint on the material used. It can steel, wood or anything.

A trigger mechanism compulsory.
Round 1:
- The participants will be given a target with concentric circles and will be awarded points as per the circle they hit.

The centre of concentric circle is at a height of 2.5m (Variable Horizontally)

The innermost circle will carry maximum points.
Round 2 and 3:
- Will be revealed on the day of the event.
- The arrow must be of wooden material.
- The dimensions of the arrow should be 40cm in length and 1cm in diameter(Maximum).
- The participant should bring extra arrows in case of any damage.
- The participant can add fins for providing better aerodynamics to get better accuracy.
