"No greater care is required upon any works than upon such as are to withstand the action of water; for this reason, all parts of the work need to be done exactly according to the rules of the art which all workmen know, but few observe." – Sextus Julius Frontinus
Each team should consist of Maximum 3 members.
Discharge will be measured by collecting water in a measuring tank below the setup.
The participants have to explain the planning to the judges on the day of event.
The pipe system must be according to the arena plan given. In case it is not according to the arena plan, the team will be disqualified.
Final decision lies with Core committee of FootprintsX6.
Participants will have to draw the line plan of the garden on A2 sheet (i.e. half-imperial sheet) along with the water supply layout (pipe system) as per the given data.
The planning of the garden should be either drawn on a sheet or in the form of a print out with accurate dimensions.
Participants have to show the calculation of the area for different given parts of the garden in percentage in tabular form.(behind the page in case of print out)
The garden should be planned for an arena of 10 acres.
Children play area= 11.45% of total area.
Nursery = 3% of total area.
Canteen= 2% of total area.
Sanitary (at two places) = 0.05%of total area.
Club house=1.5% of total area.
Seating area (Lawn Area)= 30% of total area.
Fountain + surrounding seating area = 1.5%of total area.
Parking= 7% of total area.
Walk area (including footpath and roads)=20%of total area.
Free Area=23.5%of total area.
Children play area: 1
Nursery:1
Canteen:1
Sanitary: 1 per each
Club house: 1
Seating area (Lawn Area): 1 per every 10% area.(for sprinkling)
Outlets for Drinking water: Total 2(at different places)
Fountain + surrounding seating area: 1
A pipe system should reach every place where it is needed.
All the pipes and pipe fittings [i.e. elbow, TEE, reduces, etc.] must be strictly of PVC.(Use of u-PVC is strictly prohibited.)
Pipe fittings which can vary the discharge like valves, taps, etc. will strictly not be considered at connections.
The design of pipe system should be such that there is minimum head loss.
The participants can bring the components of the pipe system and assemble it on the day of the event within the given time limit or can bring it assembled.
Ends of all the pipes at the outlets in all seating area, play area, canteen, sanitary, drinking water area hold discharge equal volume of water.
The outlets at club house and fountain should discharge 20% more water than at other places.
2m head will be provided by core-committee of FootPrintsX6 via overhead tank.
Overhead tank will be provided by the core committee of FootPrintsX6.
Elevation change and gradients are allowed in the pipe system as per requirements of the design network.
Elevation head difference between any two points in the pipe system must not exceed 20cm.
All the outlets must be in the same horizontal plane.
Pipe network should be self-supporting [supports for elevated pipe can be provided if necessary].
