When you hear the phrase “material design” it may evoke the mental image of an interior designer oscillating between choices for drapery fabric. Strangely this metaphor wouldn’t be too far off from Google’s new design specification. While there are plenty of differences between the physical and digital world Google is attempting to bridge that gap for a more relatable User Interface design process.

What is Material Design?

Material Design is a specification for a unified system of visual, motion, and interaction design that adapts across different devices and different screen sizes.

Google Cloud Platform is a cloud computingplatform by Google that offers hosting on the same supporting infrastructure that Google uses internally for end-user products like Google Search and YouTube.Cloud Platform provides developer products to build a range of programs from simple websites to complex applications.
