Mother's Day

"IT TAKES SOMEONE REALLY BRAVE TO BE A MOTHER, SOMEONE STRONG TO RAISE A CHILD AND SOMEONE SPECIAL TO LOVE SOMEONE MORE THAN HERSELF"

Every year on Mother's Day, we have the pleasure of thanking our moms for being wonderful, selfless, sacrificial angels who are there for us in every step of the way.
The first Mother's Day was celebrated in West Virginia in 1912. Mothers are recognized as an important part of our culture and lives. The heart of a mother is a rare jewel. They love their children during the worst and best of times. Yet all mothers are not the same.
Author Patsy Clairmont says, "Normal is just a setting on your clothes dryer." They are all different. As women, they may "struggle, fail, start over and celebrate" but as mothers, they can love unlike any other person.

God created families and gave mothers a unique place in that unit. They can love, give of themselves, cook, clean, wash clothes, put Band-Aids on scrapes... be the first one up in the morning or the last one down at night. They juggle a lot of things including raising children, working at jobs, managing a home and seldom (which is rare) find time for themselves.
Mothers constitute a crucial part of our lives. So whether it is a Hallmark Card, dinner out, hug or kiss on the cheek, we should show we care. It is prodigious to give our love to this dedicated women in our lives and not to take them for granted. So on this special day I wish to give you a small gift MOM

You’ve seen me laugh,
You’ve seen me cry,
And always you were there,
By my side.
You were there for the ups,
And you stayed for the downs,
You gave me many smiles,
And chased away my frowns.
And through it all,
You were always there,
making sure I knew,
How much you care.
I’m your little boy,
And you’re my mother,
And no matter what,
I’d want no other.
This is a message straight from your son,
As far as mothers go, you're number one.
You gave up so much to raise me so well,
You picked me up whenever I fell.
You loved me no matter the mistakes that I made,
And the lessons you taught me will never fade.
I could never repay you for the gifts you gave me,
And I know you've done more than I could even see.
Mom,
I want you to know that I appreciate you,
And that I am aware of all that you do.
And though I may not tell you this every day,
I would be remiss if I didn't take the time to say,
I love you and am grateful for all that you've done,
Wishing you Happy Mother's Day, with love from your son.

A heartfelt thank you from every child to every mother.
