Subir Gokarn is a former deputy Governor of RBI,who will be giving a Webinar. Prior to his appointment as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Dr.Gokarn was the Chief Economist of global rating agency Standard and Poor's (S&P ) Asia-Pacific since August 2007.
He is the head of CRISIL's Research and Information business and also a nominee Board Member of the State Bank of India.
Appointed at the age of 49, Dr. Gokarn was one of the youngest Deputy Governors of RBI in its 76 year history.
He is also the executive director of International Monetary funds (IMF).
He was one of the four shortlisted persons to be appointed as the successor of Raghuram Rajan.
- This Design Thinking exercise will take the participants through the DT process and help them get a flavour of each stage (research, define, ideate, prototype, test) through a 90 minute hands on exercise.
- The participants will work in teams of two and design a wallet in a fast-paced activity though a full design cycle of NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. Participants show and tell each other about their wallets, ideate, and make a new solution that is “useful and meaningful” to the customer.
- We hope participants see the value of engaging with real people to help them ground their design decisions, and that low-cost prototypes are useful to learn from. A lot of learning from this workshop is around Human centred approach to problems, empathy and prototyping.
- Participants will be give the required raw materials for prototyping and ideating. Everyone is welcome to be a part of this exercise, ideally above 18 years of age, as some of the tools and equipments used in this exercise might not be conducive for the younger lot.
- The workshop host - Aditi Gupta, comes with over a decade of experience of practising DT in her professional life and is now the Managing Partner of DesignThinkers Group, an international organisation which makes it easier for organisations to imbibe DT in their strategic thinking through workshops and ideation sessions and institutions to design courses on DT.
